untitled

I see how you want him
and I see the hurt in your eyes.
The yearning kills you inside
and you don’t think you can live without him.
You tell me day by day of the pain you’re in
and I can only say “I’m sorry.”

You’ve been with him before
but things turned out sour.
You know he’s with someone else
but you still fight for him.
You think he’s right for you
but he doesn’t see it.

You apologize for something you didn’t do
And you shouldn’t have.
You wait every day for him to want you in his life
But “she” won’t allow it.
You feel bad

And you shouldn’t.

Words

Kind, caring, intelligent.

These are only a few words to describe you.

Joy, peace, love.

These are a few select words to describe my feelings,

But no words can describe the love I have for you.

Putting my emotions into words is like trying

To describe mountains in the fall

Or how good it feels to come home after being away

Or even seeing the beauty of a pink sunset.

But nothing compares to:

Being in your arms with everything safe.

Staring into your eyes that take me to a far away place.

The love I receive makes me feel like

The most special person in the world

And I’d do anything to hold onto that.

Letting go of you even if temporary is hard to do

You are my hero, my love

And nothing will change that

For love is the strongest element.
